Spring and Summer Fishing

Nestor Falls area and Lake of the Woods has so many fishing opportunities. There is the option of fishing several different drive to lakes and we can pick your group up in Nestor Falls, Morson or Sioux Narrows Lake of the Woods.

Fish for Walleye, Crappie, perch, Northern Pike, Smallmouth and Large Mouth Bass, Lake Trout and Muskallunge.

Our days on the water will start early May as soon as the ice melts off the lakes. We can fish for Lake trout, Crappie, perch, bass and Northern Pike(early season is the best time to catch big Pike)

Walleye season opens Back up on the 3rd saturday of May. And from this point on fishing and the weather gets better and better. Crappies spawn late May in the shallows followed by both Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass. During the month of June Bass fishing is catch and release only.

The second part of June though Labor day weekend is the warmest, most consistent weather we can have all year. This is the perfect to take your family out on the lake and no better time to get your kids catching fish.

Fall Fishing

As soon as October rolls around all the fish are starting to get ready for our long cold Canadian winters. They know it's going to be a long time till the water warms back up, so they start feeding heavy and don't stop untill the lake is frozen. This is by far the best time to catch the most and the biggest of any species that swims. Fall weather can be extremely brutal but we have had a plenty of years where we are fishing in our T-shirts during the first week of November and the best part there is nobody on the lake besides you.

When people ask me what the best time of year to fish is I will always say "when you are able to go" or "fishing is really good once the ice melts but progressively gets better till it freezes again"

A Day On The Water

A typical day on the water starts by leaving the dock at 8 am when headed out on a full day of fishing. We can always leave later or earlier depending on schedule.

Our goal in the morning is to not only have a fun and catch a bunch of fish but also keep some for shore lunch. All fish are excellent eating when properly prepared and all bones are removed. They always seem to taste even better while eating them on a rock over looking a great view of the lake.

After lunch we will head back out on the water for a few more hours of fishing and try to finish full filling your daily limit of fish if you are wanting to take some home. The end goal of our day is to make sure you have a good time and catching fish is the bonus. But do you really think we won't catch any fish?

Reliable Equipment

New to our fleet, we added a big Alumacraft Trophy 205 with a 200hp Yamaha Four Stroke. It is 20'8" long 98" beam and has so much floor space. The boat is rigged with a full wrap around windshield to protect you from the elements, top notch Humminbird Helix 12's and a Minn Kota Terrova I Pilot Trolling motor. This Alumacraft has seating for 4 guests plus myself. This is as very comfortable spacious ride.
